      나는 여행사에 구직신청을 하였다.

▶To refer to a shop or company, use the 's form :

    a greengrocer's(청과물 가게), a chemist's(약국), a tailor's(양복점), a butcher's(정육점)

 

62. I'm writing in reply to your letter that I've received two days ago.

     I'm writing in reply to your letter that I received two days ago.

      나는 이틀 전에 받은 너의 편지에 답장을 쓰고 있다.

▶With references to past time such as yesterday, last week, a year ago,

    use a past tense(NOT the present perfect)

    명확한 과거 시점을 나타내는 부사(구)와 함께 쓰였을때는 과거 시제를 써야 한다.

 

63. The train left at exactly 3 o'clock. Just five minutes ago I had been stuck in a traffic jam.

     The train left at exactly 3 o'clock. Just five minutes before I had been stuck in a traffic jam.

      기차가 정각 3시에 출발했다. 나는 바로 5분전에 교통정체에 처해있었다.

▶ago = before 'now', the moment of speaking 말하는 순간 기준

   before = before 'then', a time in the past 과거의 시간이 기준

 

64. In many ways I agree to his statement.

      In many ways I agree with his statement.

       많은 측면에서 그의 말에 동의한다.

▶agree with sb/sth = have the same opinion as

    ~와 같은의견이다.

 

65. I don't understand why he doesn't agree the divorce.

     I don't understand why he doesn't agree to the divorce.

      나는 그가 왜 이혼에 동의하지 않았는지 이해가 안된다.

▶agree to sth = be willing to accept or allow something

    (어떤것을 기꺼이) 받아들이다. 허락하다.

 ※64과 65에서 어떤 전치사가 오느냐에 따라서 동사의 의미가 달라지고 있음에 유의하세요.
