       그들은 컴퓨터 도움으로 더 빨리 배울 수 있다.

▶관용적인 표현들은 통째로 외우세요.

 

72. He was aiming a gun against me.

      He was aiming a gun at me.

       그는 나에게 총을 겨누고 있었다.

▶aim sth at sb/sth ~을 겨냥하다.

※동사가 취하는 전치사들을 꼭 외우세요. 어떤 전치사가 오느냐에 따라 동사의 의미가 달라지는 경우도 있으므로 항상 주의하세요.

 

73. I started to learn English with the aim to become a teacher.

      I started to learn English with the aim of becoming a teacher.

       나는 선생님이 되려는 목적으로 영어를 배우기 시작했다.

▶with the aim of doing sth ~하려는 목적으로

※동사일때는 aim ~ at

   명사일때는 aim of ~ing

      Finally we got really worried and alerted the local police.

       마침내 우리는 너무 걱정이 되어서 지역 경찰에게 알렸다.

▶alarm = make someone feel worrid about a possible danger

              일어날 가능성이 있는 위험을 느끼게 만들다.

   alert = inform someone of possible danger so that they can be ready to deal with it

             그들이 처리할 수 있도록 일어날 위험을 알리다.

 

75. Every alive creature in the sea is affected by pollution.

      Every living crearure in the sea is affected by pollution.

       모든 살아있는 해상 생물은 오염에 영향을 받는다.

▶alive = not dead

   living = (1) alive now, (2) used to refer to all creatures and thing that live and die

※alive 형용사는 서술적 용법에 사용됩니다.
