         균형 잡힌 식이 요법은 다양한 음식을 섭취함으로써 달성된다.

▶ Note that achieve is also used to mean ‘accomplish’.

     또한 accomplish의 의미로도 사용된다.

      We also have to take into account the fact that the schools are overcrowded.

         우리는 또한 그 학교들이 너무 붐빈다는 사실에 대해서 고려해야만 한다.

▶ take into account + the fact + that-clause

     that절 이하의 사실을 고려하다. 하나의 덩어리로 외우세요^^

 

23. I cannot give you the accurate date of my arrival yet.

      I cannot give you the exact date of my arrival yet.

       나는 아직 정확한 도착 날짜를 줄 수 없다.

▶ accurate = It is manly used (1) to describe something said or written that contains no errors.

                                             (2) to describe something that produces no errors.

                      주로 틀린 곳이 포함되어 있지 않음을 묘사, 틀린 곳이 없음을 묘사

    exact = It means ‘correct and as detailed as possible’

     정확한 그리고 가능한 상세한

 

24. I am beginning to accustom to the British way of life.

      I am beginning to get accustomed to the British way of life.

         나는 영국에서의 삶을 적응하기 시작했다.

▶ be/become/get/grow accustomed to sth

     ~에 적응하다
※    formal styles과 달리 대부분의 사람들은 be/become/get/grow used to 선호함.

        내가 자란 곳에서는 가게에서 그렇게 많은 것을 보는 것이 익숙하지 않다.

▶ be accustomed to doing sth (NOT to do)

    24, 25예문에 쓰인 to는 전치사 임에 주의하자! 그래서 동사가 올 때는 동명사를 써야 함.
